IKO acquires the Roof Tile Group

L ' purchase expands the ' operational area of the market leader in the roofing materials sector for metal roofs 

IKO Industries Ltd. announced today that it has signed an agreement to acquire Roof Tile Group assets from the Fletcher Building production and construction company in New Zealand. 

The Roof Tile Group produces metal shingles sold and distributed globally under various brands, including Decra and Gerard. The agreement for the acquisition of the RTG was concluded yesterday in Auckland. The acquisition will expand the global presence of IKO in production and operations, with production facilities in New Zealand, Hungary, Malaysiaand the United States; and will add over 500 employees to the IKO worldwide team.

IKO did not disclose the financial conditions of the acquisition. The company indicated that for the immediate future RTG will continue to manage its operations "as usual", while the company focuses on the assimilation of new employees and familiarizes itself with RTG's activities.
